PUBLICATION OF A SELECTION OF PAPERS PRESENTED AT THE FIRST MADRID
CONFERENCE ON QUEUEING THEORY (MCQT'02)

The Madrid Conference on Queueing Theory (MCQT) aims to be a meeting
place where scientists and technicians in the field could find a
discussion forum to promote research, encourage interaction and exchange
ideas. The conference is open to all trends including the development of
the theory, methodology and applications of Queueing Theory. The first
edition of the conference took place in July 2-5, 2002. It was held at
the Faculty of
Mathematics of Complutense University of Madrid. The conference will be
organized with a periodicity of about 4 years. Further details will be
available on the website:

    http://www.mat.ucm.es/deptos/es/mcqt/conf.html

Two volumes (Vol. 112 and 113) of the journal Annals of Operations
Research contain a selection of the papers presented at the conference.
The table of contents is as follows.
